The Kairos Benevolence Fund (KBF) grant process consists of three distinct components: raising awareness of the urgent need existing among aging Christian leaders, evaluating grant applications and distributing funds to meet those needs.
Identifying the Need: During this phase, Kairos endeavors to identify aging Ministers and Missionaries facing specific financial and/or health crises. Individuals are encouraged to apply for assistance by completing the online application form located here. Referrals of ministry acquaintances in need are also encouraged by completing the online referral form located here.
Making the Decision: Upon receipt of an application or referral, the KBF staff establishes a relationship with the applicant during which the specifics of their needs are confirmed and supporting documents are gathered.
All decisions regarding benevolent grants are prayerfully considered and are the ultimate responsibility of the KBF Distribution Team, an independent body of Christian leaders (both men and women) from across the nation, who volunteer their time and efforts to this unique ministry.
Funding the Grant: Once a decision is made by the KBF Distribution Team to approve a grant, the funds are distributed to the appropriate vendors (i.e. hospitals, utility companies, landlords, etc.) Except in rare and unusual circumstances, cash is not distributed directly to individual grant recipients.
